Former Honesdale High School standout Morgan Birmelin
Former Honesdale High School standout Morgan Birmelin is deep into preparations for her second season on the NCAA hardwood.
A sophomore guard at DeSales University, Morgan carved out a spot for herself in the starting line-up as a freshman. Birmelin started all 27 games for the Bulldogs and averaged eight points per outing.
DeSales will open up its 2016-17 season on the road at Immaculata on Tuesday, November 15.
Morgan is the daughter of Mike & Kelly Birmelin, Honesdale. She is majoring in early childhood education.
