Former Honesdale High School hoops star Mary Martin is enjoying another stellar season on the NCAA hardwood. A senior member of the Dickinson College women’s basketball team, Martin is listed as a 5-8 guard in the school’s Media Guide. Mary is playing a leading role in the Red Devils’ fast start this season. She has started all nine games and is averaging a team-best 36.6 minutes per contest. Martin is among the team leaders in all major offensive categories. She first in points (13.3 ppg) and rebounds (9.4 rpg). She is also tops in assists (3.4 apg) and steals (2.8 spg). Dickinson boasts a sterling 8-1 overall record and is 5-0 in conference action. The Red Devils are averaging 65.3 points per game and holding opponents to 59.1. Martin and her teammates are now off until after the holiday break. They resume play Tuesday, Jan. 3 at Messiah.
